God is with us!

Isaiah 9:6a  For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given…

Just imagine and believe itGod is with us!  (Matthew 1:23)

This same Emanuel is called:  Wonderful, Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace!

Dear Wonderful Prayer Sustainers,

May God our Lord and Savior bless you and your family this Season as we remember God's great love for us in coming down to take on a human body and dwell with us.  With exceeding joy, together with you in worship to God we rejoice that our God, though not in physical presence, dwells with us today, and we with Him for all eternity.

Several ways God has shown His Presence in answering your prayers for the ministry are as follows:

  • The Lord has burdened hearts to continue giving towards some of the parsonage preparation in SJS.  The brethren in the church in San Juan del Sur are excited to receive Pastor Reynaldo and his new bride in December.
  • The two missionaries who were suffering from the dengue fever have now recovered, and Andy is much recovered as well.
  • Through rain and snow and long hours of driving on very busy roads, the Lord has given us safety and good fellowship in the car that has kept working great.  Thanks for your prayers!
  • God has given us many opportunities to witness for Him person to person in varied occasions, and to seek to comfort and encourage believers going through deep waters and searching for God's leading for their future.
  • God has given us great encouragement through fellowship with godly pastors and church members who have prayed for and supported us so faithfully.
  • We're hearing very good news from our colleagues in Nicaragua with their church planter training and promotions of a missionary movement to other countries of the world.

But there are Pressing Prayer Petitions we have for you

  1. The church in San Juan del Sur as they seek to witness and win souls for Christ during this Christmas Season, which in San Juan becomes more of a party atmosphere combined with religious rites.
  2. For Pastor Reynaldo Diaz to give a good account of the faith that lies in him and the doctrine of the Word in his ordination service by his home church in Managua.  Also for his wedding to Sabrina a few weeks afterward.
  3. Pray for Diane's trip to Nicaragua Dec. 8-17th to have a dental procedure done as well as to continue discipleship of two women in great spiritual need.  Please pray also as she seeks to encourage the women in the churches.
  4. Pray for the new ministry of Coordinator of Member Care for new pre-field missionaries as well as those already in the Caribbean, Central America and Mexico.   Pray for us as we are in training for this and will be making multiple trips this next year in ministry to the fields mentioned.  The next letter we will include a broader scope of what this ministry entails.

Have a very Joyful Christmas and a Happy New Year, contemplating all the numerous blessings we all have in Christ the Lord!

Serving Him with you,
Andy and Diane Large
